The established Dupré brand inspired the development of some of the worlds most advanced Vermiculite product formulations. Applications for crude and exfoliated Vermiculites include insulation, friction, horticulture, construction, packaging and wherever lightweight or heat resistant properties are required.
In 2007 Dupré Minerals opened its newly constructed Vermiculite exfoliation plant. This, in addition to their already established facility will offer a bulk storage capacity for over 5,000 tonnes of Vermiculite, safeguarding market supply and offering greater flexibility in service to an extensive customer base.
Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral that continues to find niche market applications where fire protection, absorption, and acoustic properties are desired. It is however the thermal insulation properties of Vermiculite that are most commonly sought and Vermiculite is an ideal user friendly option for domestic and industrial insulation solutions.
Dupré Minerals is the market leader with its MICAFIL brand of insulation Vermiculite. Micafil is commonly used for a variety of building insulation applications, including internal cavity wall, loft and chimney flue liner.
